ChristChurch Roots

Founded as Bethel Community Church in 1919, ChristChurch has been an active member of the California Nevada United Methodist Annual Conference since 1922.

Originally, located three miles east of Chowchilla on Robertson Boulevard in what was known as the Bethel District, it has been located at 260 N. 6th Street since 1939.

DICK JOYCE MEETING CANCELLED

Due to unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control we have called off our meetings with Dick Joyce. His wife Lou, is not well at this time and this will afford our brother a bit of time at home.
Please uphold them in prayer.
This would also be a good time to send them extra love offerings as you are led.
Dick will be back on the road again soon so be watching his newsletter for future meetings.

The 2008 giveaway BBQs are here! Through contributions of chicken, rolls, beans, soft drinks, bottled water, charcoal briquettes, ice, plastic utensils, paper products, and other goodies the event is completely supported. If you, your church, or company would like to help with any of these items that would be very welcome!

In the 2007 season over 1200 complete chicken dinners were gven away. Thanks to all who lent a hand by contributing food products, finances, or actully serving on-site!.

nursery remodelChildren's Nursery Remodel

The remodeling of our childen's nursery & toddler area is finished! Thanks to many labor of love hours by Brother Joe Williams and other men of the Church! The original wooden straight grain floors were kept and refinished. Brother Bev Brown donated a new flatscreen TV and DVD system. It's all beautiful!

ChristChurch is a Certified Red Cross Emergency Shelter. We also respond to requests by the City of Chowchilla to serve as a warming shelter during the cold season and a cooling shelter during times of extreme heat.
